The 2024 Solar Program Is Now Open

Thanks to an updated 2024 Government solar program, savvy Aussie homeowners are unlocking thousands of dollars in solar rebates

This Federal Government financial incentive, or solar panel rebate as it is more commonly known, is designed to support the Federal Government's Renewable Energy Target (RET).

The Solar Rebates website allows you to check your home’s eligibility and instantly calculate your potential rebate amount.

Exploring No Net Cost Solar

If you're considering slashing your bills with solar, the No-Net Cost Solar Program is allowing thousands of eligible Australian homeowners to get solar panels installed without adding a single dollar to their monthly expenses.

How can this be possible?

This is made possible by the combination of the solar rebate and the solar savings that these homeowners enjoy as a part of their new system, which are often enough to cover the cost of a new system.

Most accredited solar companies offer their customers green finance and payment plans, many with 0% interest.

This makes it possible for them to pay for a brand new solar installation using the savings, all without adding any net-cost to their monthly expenses.

How Much Can I Save With Solar?

Solar is one of the most effective methods to reduce your household expenses.

Many homeowners report they save up to 80% on their electricity bills.

Your particular savings will rely upon a number of factors including your individual energy usage, what State you live in, and the solar system that you have installed.

Below you can see an example of drop in bill size following solar installation!

Is My State Included In This Program?

Yes! Homeowners from all States of Australia are eligible for the Federal Solar Rebate Program.

However, homeowners in different states of Australia will have access to different solar rebate amounts.

This is important because when issuing STCs (rebates) the Aussie Government split Australia’s postcodes into 4 zones, with each enjoying a different rebate amount.

Zone 1 has the highest rebate, whilst Zone 4 has the lowest. This means if you live in Zone 1, you’ll receive a greater rebate than someone who lives in Zone 2.

What Else Do I Need To Do To Qualify?

There are a few more requirements for homeowners to be eligible for thousands in solar rebates.

Firstly, you must have Clean Energy Council (CEC) approved products installed. This includes all solar panels, inverters and batteries.

Secondly, a CEC Accredited Solar installer must install your solar system. They will also be able to confirm your needs, potential savings, and solar rebate.

Finally, to qualify, you must claim within 12 months of installation. For your convenience, most solar installers will claim for you, and subtract your rebate from their costs.
